CEDA Creates Environmental Fluid Solutions Division

CALGARY, ALBERTA—CEDA International Corporation (CEDA) is pleased to announce the formation of a new business unit called Environmental Fluid Solutions (EFS).

Increased public scrutiny and more stringent government requirements concerning the environmental management of water and energy resources has created the need for effective fluid management contractors. EFS was formed to provide private and public sector clients with comprehensive fluid management solutions throughout Canada and beyond.

“EFS will operate as a stand alone business unit within CEDA and facilitate the expansion and focus of our dredging, dewatering and water management business,” explains Bruce Rintoul, President and CEO of CEDA. “EFS is a very strategic growth initiative and will enhance our role as a dredge supplier and operator to an overall fluid management contractor with complimentary services.”

Jos Clement has been appointed interim Vice-President for EFS. Jos has been with CEDA for 25 years and has played an integral role in the development of CEDA’s very successful dredging and water management businesses. CEDA has a number of contracts to provide dredging, dewatering and water management services to several clients including Suncor Energy, Albian Sands and Syncrude Canada.

Through EFS, clients can access a range of services including dredging and dewatering, portable centrifuge systems, process flow filtration units, deep well and storage cavern pumping, high volume sewer by-pass pumping stations, high density polyethylene pipe rentals and fusion, custom dredge and pumping system design and fabrication. EFS also owns a substantial amount of heavy equipment and has the ability to assemble significant resources for complex and large projects. EFS delivers projects with an emphasis on quality, safety, fiscal control, schedule efficiency and environmental compliance.
